Nica at Coachella: Our Favourite Festival Fashion Trends

Thanks to possibly the most stylish festival of the year, our Instagram feeds have been filled with glamorous shots of festival fashion direct from the stateside Coachella. If you’re heading to a festival this summer, let us help you be inspired by some of Coachella’s coolest trends.

Statement Kimonos

If there’s one item that you almost have to take along to a festival, then make it a kimono. Not only do they infuse your outfits with an effortless dose of cool but they also act as a great cover up when the sun’s beating down on your shoulders.

At this year's Coachella, it was all about the Statement kimono with cool fringing, lace and detailed embroidery leading as decorative trends. Which style will you choose?

Suede

This is the fabric of choice amongst the festival trend setters this year, as not only does it tie in with one of the season’s biggest stories, the Seventies’ theme, but its tan colourway is also really easy to wear.

We've seen it in so many different forms from skirts and crop tops to waistcoats that it’s difficult to decide our favourite way to wear the trend.

Backpacks

Some of the Nica team were also lucky enough to hit Coachella this time around, and of course they took along their favourite #NicaHandbags. Nikki from the Nica team shared her festival fashion with us, featuring her new season Tary backpack that’s due to launch very soon.

The backpack is perfect for all of that hands in the air dancing with enough room to carry all of your essentials, especially a much needed bottle of water. Nikki styles hers with a very on trend suede skirt, patterned crop top and cool sunglasses.

Why not share your festival fashion looks with us? Just tag your stylish photos with #NicaHandbags. We can’t wait to be inspired.

Discover our Zesty SS 15 Inspirations

The sun is finally out which means that it’s officially time to embrace those brights and playful prints. Zesty tones are the perfect palette for brightening up your wardrobes, and there’s something about a pop of colour that always makes you smile even if it does decide to rain!

We’re trending towards lemon for SS 15 with pieces like our Isla tote. Discover some of the different kinds of lemony goodness that have been inspiring Nica’s latest designs.

Lemon Travels

Our senior designer Nica Kim’s travels always play a massive part in her design inspiration, and this time around, you’ve guest it, her travels took her over to Italy where she soaked up its beautiful scenery and all of its lemon tree splendour!

Lemon Cocktails

When life gives your lemons, splash in a bit of gin and join the cocktail train! No sunny getaway is complete without soaking up a few cocktails, and one of our favourites is frozen lemonade gin cocktails.

Simply mix together one cup of your favourite lemonade with half a cup of gin, pour inside a container and place inside your freezer until almost frozen. Et voilĂ ! A refreshing drink to be enjoyed in the sunshine.

Lemon Treats

If like us you’ve completely overindulged with the chocolate at Easter but you’re still craving something bad, grab your oven mitts and try out some poppy seed bread. It’s still a bit of a naughty snack but its lemon infusion will have you feeling much more refreshed than any slab of chocolate cake ever would. Plus, there are plenty of easy recipes readily available online. Here’s a great one that we’ve found.

Loving our lemony influences? Which trends are you most looking forward to for spring? Why not drop us a comment below? As we’d love to hear… maybe it’ll even inspire our own future designs!

Be inspired by her style and team your Nica crossbody bags with cool ripped jeans, a mesh effect top, minimal duster coat and of course a pair of luxe trainers.

Perfect Pastels

Spring is finally here which means that we can officially raid our wardrobes for all of our candy hue favourites. Krystel embraces spring with a pretty pink jumper that’s perfect for transitioning into your springtime wardrobes with, as after all it’s not quite hot enough to be going out in your tees just yet!

Androgynous

Our last pick is Krystel’s androgynous inspired outfit which she creates with a pair of ripped jeans, a sleek black tee and an oversized duster coat. Borrowing from our boyfriends is a trend that just keeps on growing, and we think that our cool boxy Venice crossbody finishes the outfit perfectly.
